Channel Islands National Park

Santa Cruz Island -- March 2022

For both the 2022 and 2017 trips I took to Channel Islands National Park, I traveled with Island Packers from Ventura Harbor. I have had wonderful experiences traveling with them both times. The crew are well informed and educate passengers about the wildlife. I've been amazed by how much we've seen.

On the 2017 trip with Island Packers, we saw Bottlenose, California Spinner, and Common Dolphins, I have not labeled the specific species of dolphins in the slideshow below.

Note to frequent visitors: I update this site constantly, so when you visit again, you'll want to clear the cache of your browser. Otherwise, it may show photos in locations where they should not be, due to the way the data is compressed to house so many large photos in the cloud; (so you may see the photo of a grizzly bear in Puerto Rico with a caption saying it's a parrot). To clear history on a computer, if you select the name of your browser at the top of your screen, for instance Safari, you should see an option to "Clear History". To clear the cache on a phone or tablet, go to settings and to that browser specifically, and select "Clear Cache" or it may say something like "Clear History and Website Data". This should fix any substitutions of a photo showing up in the wrong location, but will need to be done periodically.
